The fundamental question the project poses is:

The following is a short description of the practitioners that, after having responded to the open call by Brave New Alps, participated in the collectivized residency at Careof (Milan) in September and October 2011:

AUT is a collective of product and communication designers based in Venice. With their project Quisai they are attempting to reformulate the connection between designers, Italian production clusters and circuits of distribution through the production of objects for the table.

Brave New Alps is a collective operating in the area of communication design, who in their work focus on social and political issues. They are also engaged in research activities around education in the field of design.

Stefano Capodieci is an illustrator and graphic designer. In his infographics and maps he preferably treats the relations between the envioronment, technology and health.

Isacco Chiaf is combining infographics and performance in his works. In his last project he analysed the illegal traffic of small arms managed by the Italian company Beretta. At the moment he is financing his activities through subversive DIY marketing.
